I walked into my first Hot Yoga class at Living Yoga in 2009. I was an avid gym goer, kickboxing and step classes were my life, and I also ran several half marathons, until I found yoga. I was looking to alleviate pain and stiffness from the high impact cardio I had been doing for years as it was starting to take a toll on my body. I found that hot yoga gave me everything I was looking for and more. I was able to control and ease the pain in my lower back from a herniated disk and have watched my body transform from yoga. I have maintained an almost daily practice since and completed the 200 hour teacher training at Living Yoga in 2014. Yoga has given me a greater understanding of myself and my body and helping others with this discovery and journey through teaching has given me more joy than I could have ever imagined.
