In 2001, a collegue told me about a hot yoga class, saying “I think you’ll like it…” I did, no really, I liked it a lot. My yoga practice began with a Bikram Studio on Long Island, I felt good, my body changed, I became more objective and calmer. Before I knew it I was hooked on yoga and was soo happy that I never had to go to the gym again! But more importantly, this practice brought upon a peace that I had rarely experienced, in fact it was so powerful that it changed my life!
Eventually, I was lead to my teacher, Mary Grace, at Yoga Oasis. I completed a 500 hr teacher training program under Mary Grace and eventually began to teach. Teaching yoga was full-filling and soo much fun that I couldn’t think of a better way to spend and serve in this life-time.
I have studied for many years under Dharma Mitra and with various teachers at Jiva Mukti and Kula Yoga. In 2011, I completed a new 200 hr teacher training program at Sadhana Yoga under Sondra Loring and Raghunath. More recently, in December of 2012, I completed Module One of Carrie Parker’s pre-natal teacher training.
One of the most amazing aspects of this practice is the constant evolution and growth one experiences. I am grateful to my many teachers, past and present, and feels blessed to have been shown this path. I am grateful to be a part of this amazing community at Living Yoga, which has become my family! My classes are challenging, devotional and inspirational. Show up with an open-heart and mind…
